MENUDECODED HELP CENTRE

Simple guides for your digital menu.

Everything you need to create, design, publish and share your MenuDecoded QR menu.

Getting started

MenuDecoded lets you create a mobile-friendly digital menu and share it using a permanent QR code. Customers scan the QR with their phone camera and view your menu in a web browser — no app is required.

Create your first menu

  1. Create a MenuDecoded account and complete your business setup.
  2. Open Menu Builder from the dashboard.
  3. Add your menu categories and items.
  4. Open Design to choose a theme and customise the look of your menu.
  5. Open QR Codes to test and download your permanent menu QR.
  6. Scan the downloaded QR with your own phone before printing it.
Good to know: You can change dishes, descriptions and prices later without replacing your printed QR code.

Design & branding

The Design page controls how your public menu looks. Start with a theme, then customise the menu to better match your brand.

You can configure your business logo, header banner, font family, text sizes, colours, card style, spacing, item layout, category style and image presentation. Some themes and design options are available with Pro.

Recommended brand images

  • Business logo: square image, at least 400 × 400 px.
  • Header banner: approximately 1600 × 600 px or wider.
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 5 MB.

Use the preview while editing, then save the design to publish your changes.

QR Codes & Print Studio

Your QR code points to your MenuDecoded public menu. Because the destination remains tied to your menu, normal menu updates do not require you to print a new QR code.

Download your QR

  1. Open QR Codes.
  2. Confirm the menu destination using Test QR Destination.
  3. Choose the available QR options and resolution.
  4. Select Download QR PNG.
  5. Scan the downloaded image with a phone before sending it for printing.

QR Print Studio

Print Studio creates a ready-to-print portrait QR card with your business name, heading and customer instructions. Pro users have access to additional templates and QR customisation options.

Printing tip: Keep a clear margin around the QR code and avoid making it too small. Always test the final printed sample from a realistic scanning distance.

Publish & menu availability

Your public menu is available through its unique MenuDecoded link and QR code. Changes you save to menu content or design are reflected on the online menu.

Online / Offline control

Pro users can temporarily set the public menu to Offline from Settings and display a custom heading and message. Your existing QR code does not change, so the same printed QR will work again when the menu is returned online.

Business settings

Settings also lets you update your business name, tagline and displayed currency.

Analytics

MenuDecoded analytics help you understand how your menu is being viewed. Depending on your plan, you can review menu views, QR activity, unique visitors and traffic trends. The Free plan includes limited analytics history, while Pro provides full analytics history.

Can I mark an item as sold out?
