This notice explains how MenuDecoded, a DecodedBrand product, handles personal information when you use our website, account area and digital-menu service.

1. Information we collect

We may process information you provide when registering or managing an account, such as your name and email address; business and menu information you upload; account settings; and technical/service usage information needed to operate, secure and improve MenuDecoded.

2. Public menu analytics

MenuDecoded records menu views and QR-related usage to provide analytics to menu owners. The analytics feature uses a first-party random visitor identifier and a hashed visitor value rather than storing a raw IP address for this purpose.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, deliver requested features, send transactional account messages, provide support, measure service usage, prevent abuse and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

4. Service providers

We use service providers where needed to operate MenuDecoded. These may include hosting, transactional email, authentication and billing providers. When you purchase a paid plan, Paddle processes billing and transaction information as Merchant of Record under its own privacy terms. MenuDecoded does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

5. Cookies and local storage

MenuDecoded may use session cookies and similar browser storage required for login, security, preferences and first-party menu analytics. We do not use this policy to authorize unrelated third-party advertising tracking.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, and satisfy legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or other controls over personal information. Requests can be sent to the contact address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for such processing.

We may update this notice as MenuDecoded changes or legal requirements evolve. The current version and update date will be published on this page.
